Happy summer to all!

I still can't believe summer is almost over! It's gone so fast this year and I'm not ready for the school year yet.

July was the busiest month this summer. We were gone 15 days out of the month and we were living in our camper each and everyone of those 15 days. We usually break up the camping trips to one time a month but it just so happens that we had places to go and people to see...all in July.

We spent one week up in Northern MN attending "Family Camp". Instead of staying in a cabin, we take our camper and enjoy the week in our own space. I love it because I don't have to cook...at all. They ring the bell and we head to the dining hall. Sometime I feel like I should "moo" and then go eat.

We were home 3 days and the took off again (camper in tow) to Rapid City SD. We drove a day, stayed a day and then drove back. I know what you're thinking... Why on earth did they do that...it's a nine hour drive? Why, because we got to meet two new family members; My new sister-in-law and my new niece. We were there for her baptism and were able to quickly cram in Mt Rushmore. It was good to see family. We are hoping to get back next summer for a longer visit.

The last week in July, we got to spend some time up in Hancock MI and I took some really nice picture that I'll share with you. It is sooo beautiful up there. This is right up there with the Rocky Mountains and any ocean veiw. Lake Superior is so clean and it was warm enough for the kids to swim. We took the Quincy mine tour, went up onto Brockway Mountain, drove to Copper Harbor to tour Fort Wilkins, ate fish at the Harbor House looking at a view of the water and just enjoyed each other's company. Josh tried to read the whole time but we banded the book for the entire car ride.

McClain State Park is the prettiest park in the upper midwest. The campground is right along the water's edge. Josh got his own tent this time and I know he liked having his own space—not having to share it with his little sister.

A big thanks goes out to my mom and dad for housesitting and taking care of Finn.

I am now getting ready for a year of homeschooling and work as REALLY picked up so I'll be very busy for the next month or so.

It is time for bed. I've been at my computer all day and I need to be done now. Enjoy the picts...
